When starting to think about getting outside there is alot to think about. One of the main things to think about no matter what type of outdoor activity you do is the kit that you will need.
This can vary and it can be a minefield, there are so many options for many different budgets and you have to work out what you want to spend, the better the equipment the dearer the cost and this can in itself put up the first barrier to someone taking the first step to someone getting outside. When your on a budget because money is tight then we suggest making a list of what you need to get you going and then looks at your options within the budget you have, then a few pounds over and then the top end of the scale.
Once you have the kit you need even if it is in the budget range of brands and designs then over time replace one item at a time. This will give you a chance to save up for better kit as time goes on. You need to be warm and dry so as long as your kit can do that then you should be ok to at least start getting out and about
The one thing we found was even the top expensive brands seem to have cheaper brands and designs so it is best to do your research before you buy.
We too have and still are on a budget so over time we will write a review of some of the kit we have used and the brands.
